Hello everyone! Remember the $5 per couple that we were donating to the rainforest organization in Guyana? We were going to give them the money personally when we got there (since the mail system is kind of iffy). However, in light of the Haiti Earthquake, we have just donated that money and then some to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. I (Stacen) have been reading the accounts of some of the survivors who have been pulled out after more than a week of being trapped under the rubble, and needless to say, they were an inspiration. We figured that the injured and 1.5 million now homeless could use the money right now more than anyone else, and feel lucky that we have the resources to have made our small contribution.
T minus 9 days till the trip begins...
